My journey with Qigong began during my 12 years living in China, a time that profoundly shaped my understanding of balance, wellness, and resilience.

While working as a self-employed headhunter in the bustling city of Shanghai, I faced the challenge of managing a demanding career, raising two young sons, and adapting to life in a foreign country. The pressure was overwhelming, and I often felt exhausted, mentally drained, and disconnected from my own sense of well-being.

It was during one particularly difficult period that I met Wendy Wang, a Chinese professional who had been practicing Qigong for many years. I shared my struggles with her—how I was juggling my work, my family, and life in a foreign culture—and she listened intently. Then, with a gentle smile, she said something that would change my life: "You need to practice Qigong."

She explained how Qigong had helped her maintain her health and mental clarity despite the intense demands of her own career. Wendy Wang also shared her thoughts on physical exercise, saying, "Jogging and boot camps take too much energy away from your body. You need to add more fresh Qi, the energy of life." Her words struck a chord with me. Unlike high-intensity exercises that deplete your energy reserves, Qigong focuses on restoring and cultivating vital energy, or "Qi," helping to replenish your body and mind.

Intrigued by this insight, I began practicing Qigong, and it slowly became the foundation that helped me regain balance in my life. With regular practice, I found I had more energy, greater focus, and a sense of inner calm that allowed me to handle the pressures of my work and family. It was Qigong that allowed me to navigate the complexity of my life in Shanghai with resilience and grace.

Them 25 years later, inspired by Mrs. Wang’s advice, and my own transformation, I founded Silver Coast Qigong to share the incredible benefits of this practice with others. My mission is to help you reconnect with your body, calm your mind, and cultivate your vital energy—no matter your background or lifestyle. Whether you are seeking to relieve stress, improve your health, or simply find balance in a busy life, Qigong offers a holistic approach to wellness that can fit seamlessly into your daily routine.
